BLANCHE CRUMP THOMPSON, 96, of Memphis, died June 21, 2010, at her home. During her life she served on the Board of the Crippled Children's Foundation, was a member of Memphis Junior League, Memphis Garden Club, Symphony League, Salvation Army Auxiliary, Kenmore Board of Regents, Tuesday Study Club and LeBonheur Club. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Rosemark Presbyterian Church, and she loved worshipping there.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Sara Macrae Crump and Frank Millinton Crump, Sr.; her brother, Frank M. Crump; her sister, Sara Crump Humphreys; her first husband, Emmet Joyner, Sr.; her son, Emmet Joyner, Jr.; and her second husband, E.A. 'Buck' Thompson. She is survived by three grandchildren, Stacy Evans of Destin, FL; Tom Joyner of Memphis and Milly Joyner of Las Vegas, NV.; five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a nephew nd six nieces. She was adored by her family, who loved her devotedly.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the charity of the donor's choice. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, at Canale Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 24, at Rosemark Presbyterian Church, Rosemark, TN. Canale Funeral Directors (901)452-6400
