  • Name Barbara KLOPFENSTEIN 
    • The daughter of Daniel Klopfenstein (1766-1830) and Anne Marie Reiss (1769-1848), she immigrated to the United States with her husband, John Graber, and children, along with her in-laws, in 1832 aboard the ship Eugene. She and her family settled first in Wayne Co., Ohio, and then in Jefferson Co., Iowa by 1843, where she and her husband remained for the rest of their lives.

      Barbara and John had five known children: Christian Graber (1830-1894), John Graber (1831-1844), Catherine Graber (1836-1913), Jacob Graber (1838-1912), and Joseph Graber (1839-?). Barbara and John were the grandparents of Kit Carson Graber (1875-1962).
